For some time now we have felt the growing pressure of not having enough space to keep welcoming the crowds. People have come wanting to hear about the love of Jesus but have been unable to find a seat. For this reason we have been praying with a sense of urgency, seeking God about making more space.
A long held vision for us as a church was to purchase additional land to enable the construction of a new auditorium. Despite much prayer over a four year period there was still no way forward.
In November 2015 we set aside three weeks of corporate prayer asking God to show us the way forward. Through this time of special prayer the Lord spoke clearly and gave us His direction through Haggai 1 and 2, it’s “A Time to Build.”
From that time on we began pursuing the possibility of building a new auditorium on our existing land. This didn’t seem possible in earthly terms but God led us every step of this journey and kept affirming this direction.
We completed concept plans and stepped out in faith to raise the resources required. It was at this moment God performed a mighty miracle. The long-awaited opportunity to purchase additional land opened up before us.
As a church we knew the Holy Spirit was leading us. On the 27th August 2016, the very day of our ‘A Time to Build’ commitment Sunday, there was unanimous agreement to purchase this final piece of land on our block.
Through this miraculous provision God was expanding our vision. It enabled us to revise and further develop our concept plan to provide more space. It’s with great excitement and anticipation that we are now able to present these new God-directed plans.
This vision is not about a building but about more people encountering the love and grace of Jesus. We believe our heavenly Father is unfolding a great plan to bless many.
Our heart is to be counted among those who respond in obedience and faith and witness in our generation, a mighty reviving work of His Holy Spirit transforming our community, this city and beyond.
